Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
This site is run by Kris (KrisCodes), a freelance WordPress & WooCommerce developer, who is also the data controller for any personal data collected here. Questions about this policy or your data: hello@kriscod.es. Website address: https://kriscod.es.
What data this site collects
Contact form
If you write to me through the contact form, I receive the details you type in: your name, email address, an optional subject, and your message. This data is delivered to my mailbox and used for exactly one purpose: responding to you and handling whatever we end up working on together. It is not used for marketing, not added to any mailing list, and not shared beyond the services needed to deliver email. The form uses basic anti-spam measures (a honeypot field, a timing check, and rate limiting), which may briefly process your IP address to tell humans from bots.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, the server hosting this site (seohost.pl, located in Poland/EU) keeps standard technical logs: IP addresses, browser user agent strings, and timestamps of requests. These are used for security and keeping the site running, and are rotated on the hosting provider’s standard schedule.
Analytics
Two kinds of analytics run here:
- Ahrefs Web Analytics — a cookieless, privacy-focused counter that collects aggregate visit statistics. It sets no cookies and does not build visitor profiles, which is why it runs without a consent prompt.
- Google Analytics (and Microsoft Clarity, where enabled) — these load only after you click “Accept All” on the cookie banner. They use cookies to measure how visitors use the site. If you never accept, they never load — the site works identically either way.
What this site does not collect
Comments are disabled site-wide, so no comment data (or Gravatar lookups) exists here. There is no public user registration, no newsletter, no advertising trackers, and nothing is ever sold to anyone.
Cookies
Details live in the Cookie Policy. The short version: one strictly-necessary cookie remembers your consent choice, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) appear only after you consent. To change your mind later, clear this site’s cookies in your browser — the banner will ask again on your next visit.
Who your data is shared with
Only with the services that make the site work: the hosting provider (seohost.pl, EU), email infrastructure that delivers contact-form messages, and the analytics providers listed above (Google, Microsoft where enabled, Ahrefs) acting as processors of the data described in their sections. Google and Microsoft may process data outside the European Economic Area under their standard contractual safeguards. No data is sold or shared for advertising.
How long data is kept
Contact-form correspondence is kept like ordinary business email — for as long as the matter it concerns (and any resulting collaboration or legal obligation) requires. Analytics data is retained according to each provider’s settings and defaults. Server logs follow the hosting provider’s standard rotation.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask me for access to the personal data I hold about you, its correction, deletion, restriction of processing, a portable copy, or object to processing. Write to hello@kriscod.es and I’ll handle it directly — there is no bureaucracy here, it’s one person reading that inbox. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Poland, where this site is operated from, that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
Embedded content
Blog articles may occasionally embed content from other websites (for example a video). Embedded content behaves as if you visited that website directly, including any cookies it sets — its provider’s privacy policy applies to that content.
Changes to this policy
If the site starts doing something new with data (it would say so here), this page gets updated and the date at the top changes.
